Love low & slow BBQ? Want to taste the best of the best? The Idaho BBQ Association’s very first Judging Class is here, and this is your chance to turn your love of barbecue into an official seat at the judge’s table.
This fun, interactive class is designed for anyone curious about competitive BBQ and interested in becoming a qualified IBA Judge. You’ll learn how barbecue is evaluated, what judges look for, and how to fairly score competition-level entries.
And yes, the best part—you’ll be sampling BBQ.
Your $75 class fee includes guided tasting of the three official IBA protein categories:

BeefOnce qualified (and registered as an IBA member), you’ll be eligible to judge at IBA-sanctioned events across Idaho, happening regularly throughout the year—meaning more great BBQ in your future.
